8 weeks already

Wow, the time has been flying by! And Caroline is growing like a weed! Yesterday marked 8 weeks. Today she had her first round of shots. She did pretty well. She cried during it, which is to be expected. We went to the park afterwards and she slept the whole time. I think she's going to be okay. I have my fingers crossed just to be on the safe side.

She now weighs almost 12 pounds. Here's how she's been measuring:
6/30 - 6 lbs 14 oz - 19 inches
7/6 - 6 lbs 10 oz - 18 1/2 inches (her head was a little misshapen when she was born, but it had gone back to normal by this appointment)
7/15 - 8 lbs 2 oz - 21 inches
7/29 - 9 lbs 3 oz - 22 inches
8/26 - 11 lbs 9 oz - 23 1/2 inches

She's a good eater and a great sleeper although she doesn't sleep completely through the night yet. Around 4 am is the time she usually wakes up in the night and once she's eaten she goes right back to sleep until around 8.

Jeremy and I are enjoying her smiles and cooing. Caroline loves to look in the mirror. Seeing herself in the mirror always makes her smile. She is such a happy and calm baby. We love her so much and think she is the most perfect thing ever.

Grandma Boltz has already been out to visit her and she's expecting a visit from Aunt Jackie in early September. I also hear that Grandma Clift will be coming out soon too. Caroline might also be making a trip to Las Vegas at the end of September to see Uncle Nathan while he's there for a wedding.
