39 Weeks!

Can you tell I'm just done with this?
I have been really, really tired lately with not much energy.  Thank goodness I get the chance to sneak in a nap every once in awhile.  The good news is that there is light at the end of the tunnel.  If the baby has not come on her own by Friday, I will be induced.  I'm still hoping that she will come on her own, but at least I know that I won't be going past my due date and that I only have about 5 more days to deal with my large belly.
Thank goodness!

Caroline's 18 month check up - lookin' good!

We were a little late (almost 3 weeks) in getting Caroline's 18 month check up in, but we finally did it today.  This was her first time meeting her new pediatrician.  As usual, Caroline passed everything with flying colors.  She is still moving along the same tracks for all of her measurements:
Weight: 26 pounds, 70th percentile
Height: 33 1/2 inches, 90th percentile
Head Circumference:  47 1/4 cm, 70th percentile

I've really been slacking in the picture taking department.  Here's a couple I took recently with my phone.
She loves helping mama cook

Needs her nails trimmed badly - she's been scratching her face at night.

38 Week Belly and update

Here's my belly this past Saturday - 38 weeks exactly.  Taken right after we toured the hospital.

I had an appointment yesterday which consisted of an ultrasound, non-stress test and exam.  Everything is looking great.  As of yesterday I am 2 cm dilated which was great news for me.  I am scheduled for an induction late next week and would prefer that the baby make an appearance on her accord as opposed to forcing her out before she's ready.  I'm really hoping to meet baby this weekend!

Holiday Stuff

I have a lot of random shots from the holidays.
Waiting to leave for Christmas mass
The tree on Christmas Eve - Ready for Christmas Round 1 (of 4)
And yes the tree only has about 3 ornaments on it.  We went very low maintenance since it was coming down the day after Christmas.
Just getting started......
Trying out her piggy bank

Christmas Round 2 (with Grandma and Grandpa C and cousin Ada)
Checking out the new toys with Ada

Cousins - such a cute picture!

Aside from the tree, these are the only decorations that were up this year.  Notice how bare the dining room is - everything else is packed.

Happy New Year, New City, New State, New Home......

Oh, and Merry Christmas!  Seeing as it's been over a month since I blogged, this is going to be a big update post.

Mid December Jeremy was offered a new job in Austin, Texas.  This job is a great opportunity for him so even though we had only been in Atlanta for just under 7 months we decided to move again.  This meant a mad scramble to organize the move - hire and schedule a moving company, coordinate getting cars to Texas, find a new place, tie up loose ends in Atlanta, etc.  All the while trying to have a normal Christmas holiday, not to mention it being only a month or so before my due date.

Jeremy drove one of the cars and the two cats to Austin on December 22nd and looked for houses to rent on the 23rd.  Even though there weren't too many to choose from he picked out a great one for us.  Four bedroom, 2 bath, 1 story in a great area with several great parks near by.  It's also not far at all from his office so that's another plus.

Also on the 23rd the packers came and boxed up most of the house except for the things we would be needing in the next 4 days.  Jeremy returned on Christmas Eve and we made it to Christmas Eve mass.  We woke up Christmas morning and opened presents amidst all the boxes.  Then the snow started.  Jeremy's family was supposed to drive down from Chattanooga to celebrate with us, but the snow and ice kept them away.  The white Christmas was a beautiful surprise though.

My mom drove in from South Carolina that night to help out with the move.  She wasn't going to come until the next day or so, but turns out it was a good idea because the ice made its way to SC overnight.  We finally got to celebrate with Jeremy's family the day after Christmas (Sunday) when the roads were a bit better.

Jeremy had a really early flight out Monday morning back to Austin and started his first day at work.  The movers came and loaded all our stuff on the truck and started the trip to Texas.  The car transporter also came that morning and picked up the other car to take to Texas.  After everything was loaded up on the truck, mom and I did one last walk through of the house, locked up and headed down towards the airport to spend the night before our flight out Tuesday morning.

By this time I was exhausted and I think Caroline was just done with all the moving activities.  Needless to say it was a long evening, but once she crashed, she was out for the night.

We flew into San Antonio Tuesday around noon and were greeted by my dad and my nephew.  It felt good to be in Texas.  I had been fearful that all our stuff would be on the way or already in Texas and I would go into labor in Georgia.  What a relief that I made it here!

To make a long story short, we spend New Year's Eve in a hotel room, moved into our new house on New Year's Day, are still getting settled and anxiously awaiting the arrival of Caroline's little sister.

(After seeing how long this is, I'm going to break up this post into several parts.  Stay tuned for baby updates, holiday pics, etc.)
