Happy Birthday Caroline!

Wow, what a year!  Lately Caroline has not only mastered walking but running.  She goes full tilt at all times.  She's starting to get a mouth full of teeth - she's had 8 for several months now.  They took awhile to get started, but once the first ones came through the others quickly followed.  She has started following some directions (sometimes) and can say a few words.  Each evening she waits by the front windows for Daddy to get home.  When she sees his car pull in she points and gets really excited.

More updates on her tomorrow after her doctor's appointment and a picture!

Here's a story in pictures of Caroline's party on Saturday, June 26th.

Present time!
Caroline started to get a little wound up.  I think there were so many people that she just didn't know what to do with herself.

Cake time!

She wanted nothing to do with the cake

Caroline had a great time.  She even blew kisses to everyone after she opened her presents.

Happy Birthday Caroline!

Happy Father's Day!

We had a very busy Father's Day and I had forgotten that we had taken a few pictures.
Sunday morning we went to mass with my mom who was in town over the weekend.  We came home and cooked a Father's Day lunch of ribs, potatoes and salad.  My mom and I worked in the yard for a bit until it was time for me to drive her back to South Carolina.  That's when the trouble hit.  To make a long story short, keys were lost, locks were jammed, and we left for SC about 2 hours later than I had planned.  So much for Jeremy's relaxing Father's Day.

Jeremy - I hope you enjoyed your day.  You deserved it.  Thanks for being such a great father to Caroline!

Before all the craziness, we took a few pictures in our backyard.

Happy Anniversary!

Well, our anniversary was actually last week, so I'm a little late on this.  But in my defense, it's been a crazy, crazy time for me.  June 17 marked our second year of being married.  This year was just as busy and had just as many new and exciting things in store for us as the first.  In the last year, we had a beautiful daughter, finally sold our house in Dallas, took a family vacation in Maui and relocated clear across the country.  It's been a couple of weeks now, but I think we are finally starting to get settled in.

Just as a reminder, in our first year of marriage Jeremy started a new job halfway across the country, shortly thereafter we moved out to California, found out we were pregnant, took a trip back to Dallas, and another to San Francisco, and eagerly awaited the birth of our daughter.  Whew!

I wonder what the next year has in store for us?  Whatever it is, I know Jeremy and I will be able to handle it and I look forward to what ever challenges come our way.

Happy anniversary Jeremy!  Thanks for putting up with me!  I love you!
