I forgot to report this!!!

So you know I have been just dying to feel the baby move. Over the past month or so I've felt things that feel like little bubbles in my tummy. Well, in the last few weeks, I have decided that it is definitely the baby! She seems to get pretty active whenever I eat something sweet (especially the Ding Dongs that I had a couple of times last week). I've been trying to feel them from the outside so that Jeremy can experience this too, but I think it's just a little bit too early. I'm sure that will come soon enough though.

Anyways, sorry for the delay in this update - it's a very exciting one for me!

Bought a bunch of baby clothes today!

I was up early today dropping off people at the airport (Jeremy included.) Since I had the rest of the day to burn, I went shopping. I bought a bunch of adorable baby outfits! I'm so excited for them. Nine outfits (dresses, onesies, etc.) and a soft, fluffy blanket. Looking back at what I've bought, it seems I'm gravitating towards pinks and greens. Not sure why, but those are so cute to me. I probably need to branch out to some other colors just for the sake of variety!

It just so happened that a very old and dear friend of mine visited this weekend and brought some baby stuff too. All of her stuff was froggy-style so it was green too!

New belly picture - 24 weeks

Jeremy is out of town, so this was done by my cell phone. It's not such a great picture, but the best I can do right now. My tummy is huge to me!

Baby is taking a trip!

We're going north for the weekend. Friday evening I'm hopping on a plane to San Jose where I'll meet up with Jeremy. We'll stay the night there and do a little sight seeing in the morning - possibly the Winchester Mystery House - and then head on to San Francisco. We haven't decided what we'll do there, but we are staying by the Fisherman's Wharf, so I'm sure that will be some good sight seeing. I hear the sea lions are fun to watch!

The weather isn't forecasted to be that great (cool and rainy), but we'll make the most of it. I head back to SoCal Sunday evening without Jeremy. He won't be back until Thursday. :(

This will be the baby's second plane trip. The first time was the trip to Minnesota back in November when I had just found out I was pregnant. I was probably only about 5 weeks along at that time. I hope to make at least one more trip before July and that will be back to Dallas, but that still is up in the air.

At 22 weeks it's no wonder my tummy looks like this....

It's because there's a papaya in there!

Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.

I've been listening to Mozart and other classical music for the baby to hear and Jeremy has been reading each night to her. I'm sure if she hasn't already, she will soon be recognizing his voice.

I'm feeling something that feels like it could be some movements, but I'm still waiting for some stronger ones just to be sure. Every once in while I feel sort of a little push in the front of my stomach...could this be it?

Slowly, but surely...

we're getting stuff for the baby. Jeremy and I hit a jackpot yesterday at a store that was closing so we took advantage of some great deals.

A bebePod plus positioning chair which a mom told me was a great thing to get. I was told that once the baby can hold her head up, you can put her in this and she'll just hang out. The toy removes from the tray and you can also completely remove the tray.

A Monkey Island Gymini playmat - hopefully will provide lots of entertainment.

Some adorable bedding for the crib (which we have yet to purchase). It's MiGi Girls "Posy" in pink and green.

And lastly, a purchase to organize stuff - Jeremy assembled the cubes and we also got the pink and green drawers to match the bedding.

Hopefully our next purchases will be a crib and stroller/travel system. We've been looking at these but really haven't made up our minds on one yet. We hope to get these fairly soon.

Ultrasound pictures - better late than never

Sorry - I know I'm a week and a half late in posting these, but here they are. They are from 2/25/09.

You can see her little hand in this one.
