Tomorrow is a big day...

Caroline will be 3 months old!

I think it's official!

Caroline has been sleeping through the night for over a week now. I was playing around with her bedtime at the beginning, but I think we've settled on 8:00 p.m. She will sleep until anytime between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. Jeremy and I are so excited! I am still getting up between 5 and 6 anyways (?!), but it's still some good sleep!

She continues to be such a dream baby. She is such a joy. Once we figured out a routine with her around 5 weeks, she has been such an easy going kid. She gives great cues to let us know how she's feeling and what she needs. Once we got a handle on her cues, we have been able to meet her needs and all is good. I think at least once a day either Jeremy or I remark how awesome she is.

She has made some friends that we meet with weekly at the park. I can't wait until she is mobile and can start playing with them. Right now she loves to look at them and smile. Last week, one of the girls who is already walking came up to her and pulled her pacifier out of her mouth and Caroline didn't even bat an eye. I think she is already going to be good at sharing.

We will be going to the park tomorrow and I will try to get some pictures taken and get some new ones up. She just keeps on growing.

For now, here she is sitting her in bumbo chair. She does a lot of leaning in it, but I think she feels like a big girl when she sits up like that.

Little Roly Poly

Caroline has figured out how to roll herself over from her tummy onto her back. About a month ago, I was at the store and Jeremy was home with Caroline and he saw her do this for the first time. (Of course the one time I was away from her is when she decided to do this!) But she hadn't done it again until this week.

The other morning I had her on her tummy and she was kind of moving around and on her side and I went in the kitchen to do the laundry real quick and when I came back, she had flipped over! I flipped her back over and went to get her pacifier and when I came back she had rolled over again! I decided I would stay with her so that I could see it this time and she did it again! She did it one more time before she started getting cranky because it was time for her to lay down. She did it 4 times! She gave herself quite a workout that morning.

Sleeping beauty

I am happy to announce that Caroline slept for 10 hours straight last night! She went to bed around 8:30 last night and she didn't wake up until 6:30 this morning. I, on the other, woke up at 5:30 and had to check on her. At any rate, I had a great night's sleep and am looking forward to this becoming a habit for her.

I think the reason she slept so well is that I fed her more frequently yesterday. She's usually on an almost 4 hour feeding schedule but yesterday it was closer to 3 hours. Also, she was in a new swaddle last night. She had pretty much outgrown her old one and her arms kept breaking free during the night. I think her arms would get cold and she would also flail them and this was waking her up.

I'm going to keep her on the 3 hour schedule today and she will definitely be in the new swaddle tonight so, cross your fingers that we have a repeat performance!

Can you believe that Caroline is 10 weeks old already?

Neither can I! The time has abolutely flown by!




She's doing a great job of growing up too. She's very social and talkative and I swear I heard her singing the other day! She is becoming more and more aware of her surroundings and can amuse herself and keep herself occupied for quite awhile if I let her. She will sit in her bouncy chair and look at her toys and kick her little legs like crazy. I love to listen to her happy little squeals and shrieks. She's such a happy little girl.




Bath time is another favorite time for her. She really gets the water splashing with her legs.
