33 Week Belly Pic

I didn't get a chance to take the 32 week picture, so here's the 33 weeker.

We had our baby shower last weekend

We traveled to Texas for Memorial Day weekend. While we were there, one of Jeremy's good friends and his wife hosted a baby shower for us. We had a great time. The best part was seeing some friends that we hadn't seen since we moved to California last summer. I even had a friend show up that I hadn't seen in almost 3 years! (Great to see you, Sarah!) Unfortunately I left my camera in California and Jeremy forgot his camera at his dad's house. I don't think anyone else took pictures. It's too bad because I wish we had some sort of memento of the evening. Oh well.

On a sad note, earlier that day, I went with Jeremy to take his dog to the vet to be put to sleep. Jeremy had Mystic since she was just a little puppy so it was very sad for both of us. She had lived with me for the last 3 or 4 years before we made the big move. RIP Mystic - we love you!

The last leg of our trip took us to Austin where we hung out with my brother and his girlfriend. Monday's lunch took us to Shady Oaks restaurant near Barton Springs. I met up with a friend that I hadn't seen in probably 13 years. Debbie and I used to work with each other at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston many, many moons ago. We had so much to catch up on! Again, sadly no pics.

All the traveling, heat and running around exhausted me. I was totally wiped out for work on Tuesday. I think I'm still trying to catch up.

Woo hoo! 50 days...

until we meet Baby L! I just noticed on my ticker that we are only 50 days away from the big debut!

I also realize that I am very delinquent on a bunch of posts....32 week belly pic, Texas baby shower, crib pictures, latest ultrasound information....the list goes on.

I am leaving shortly to go to our all day childbirth class and will make it a priority later this evening to get caught up on things.

30/70!

I'm at 30 weeks, 70 days to go today! Here's some pictures to go with that....

This me at 30 weeks, 8600 feet up!
We went to Palm Springs this weekend and took the sky tram up the San Jacinto mountain. The views were absolutely gorgeous. The weather up there was nice and cool, which was a welcome break from the 100+ degree weather at the bottom.

Whew! Finally released....

I continued to go to Fetal Diagnostics this week - visits on Monday and Thursday again. Everything was great on Monday so I was in and out relatively quickly. She was moving awesome and my fluid level continued to go up - I think I was around 13.

Thursday was a little different story. It seemed like I was there forever! Apparently she was in a sleep cycle, so they were having a hard time seeing the movements that they needed to see during the ultrasound. Thankfully she finally must have woke up and started doing her thing. The fluid had gone up even more too!

Next was the monitoring part which is where she normally shines. However this time she was shining a little too much. Her heartrate was sooooo high. Normally it's in the upper 130's to 140's. She stayed up in the 190's! They wouldn't let me leave until it came back down - which took almost an hour! Then they weren't sure if had to come next week or not. They had me make an appointment for Monday just in case and told me to call on Friday to see if the doctor would release me.

Luckily I got good news on Friday - they said everything is fine and I didn't need to come back on Monday! I was so glad.

I will be returning to Fetal Diagnostics for the same thing once I hit about 36 or 38 weeks. They do this for older moms so they can keep an eye on the placenta. Apparently it ages/calcifies more quickly than in younger moms. Hopefully by that time I won't be working anymore so I won't have to endure the rat race of running back and forth to the hospital from work.

Updates - I am so behind (this will explain why)

You might notice that there are a bunch of posts on here all of a sudden that weren't here before. There has been a lot going on with me and my pregnancy over the last week, so I am just now catching up and have dated those posts so that they are in some order. Be sure to look on the next page - there are a few posts there also!

I have been really tired lately, so I hope the iron supplements help take care of that. In the meantime, I have been trying to take it easy and not overdo it. I ended our shopping trip early yesterday because I felt like I was done for the day.

Lots of rest with my feet up and drink lots of water - that's been my motto for the last week!
