Milestone Update

Caroline has been doing so much in the last few months and I am sorely behind in sharing all her awesomeness.  So here goes -

Teeth - she now has 3 teeth showing.  They are still working on getting all the way out there.  Her teeth have not followed the usual order.  The first tooth that made its appearance was her top right side tooth - not a middle tooth, but one next to it.  The next teeth to come in were her two bottom middle teeth.  The next tooth that is trying to break through  is the top left tooth.  She is going to be my little vampire baby!

Crawling, cruising, walking - Her crawling has progressed to cruising and she has even started using her little push toy and has been "walking" around the living room with it.  It's so cute.  Sometimes she just uses it to "knee walk" around too.  We've had to lower the mattress on her crib twice because she is constantly pulling up in there and we were a little worried that she might be able to climb out.

Gesturing - A couple of weeks ago she really started waving.  The first time she did it deliberately, it was like once she had figured it out, she was the master waver.  She seriously didn't stop waving for a week straight!  The very next week her specialty was clapping.  And the same thing happened - she would just spontaneously start clapping all week long.  Now she seems to have it figured out a little more and claps and waves at more appropriate times.
Clapping

Noises - We have been working on animal noises.  So far, she knows the sound a bee makes - buzz.  She's pretty good at that!  We're working on cats, dogs, cows and ducks now.

Eating - She continues to be a great eater.  She is still not a fan of the Gerber Yogurt Melts, but she'll eat them.  She has been working on tofu since last week and so far doesn't really like it unless I have it hidden in her other food.  I also broke down and started giving her Cheerios this past weekend.  And she loves them!  I have resisted the whole Cheerio thing because Jeremy has always joked that my car is going to be a "Cheerio Wagon."  Think of the cars that are covered in Cheerios and other snacks.  For right now, Caroline's eating is confined to the dining room in her high chair.  I'm not saying that this won't change, but this is how it is for now - no eating in the car!  (I don't think it's very safe anyways.  If she were to choke on something it would be hard to help her from the driver's seat.)

I'm sure there's something I've forgotten...when I think of it I'll share.
